Congratulations to Bradley's Competition Cheerleaders as they are OCC CHAMPS for the 2nd year in a row and GRAND CHAMP runner-ups!! The team would like to thank all of you that came out to support them! The team is now STATE BOUND!!!!
The Jaguar swim teams competed at the Central District meet this past Saturday at OSU. Kaitlyn Goldsmith set a new Varsity Record in the 100 Freestyle. Jon Satre set two varsity records in the 200 freestyle and 500 Freestyle. Great Job this season swimmers!
This past weekend the wrestling team placed 12 of 14 wrestlers at the Sectional Tournament at Watkins Memorial advancing a school record of 9 wrestlers (top four) to this weekend's District Tournament at Darby High School. The Jaguars finished in 2nd place with 216.5 points just four points behind team champion Lancaster. District Qualifiers include the Bradley's four champions: Conor Driscoll, Jake Zoller, Sam Riggs, and Ricky McGrath; and five third place finishers: Rob McGrath, Keegan Driscoll, Austin Johnston, Jake Stratton, and Tyler Kidd. Other placers include fifth place finishers: Amer Al-Mahmoud and Devon Smith; and sixth place finisher Luke Hammond. Wrestling begins at 4 p.m. at Darby High School on Friday and 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
The Bradley girls basketball won their opening Sectional Tournament game on Thursday night by defeating Westerville North 60-42. The Bradley women were ahead 39-6 at halftime in a great 1st half of basketball by the Lady Jags. The team shot 56% from the floor and 75% from the 3 pt line. Seniors Jasmine Junkins and Brooke Espenschied led all scorers with 14 points and Senior Jenna Seagle had 12 pts. Jenna Seagle led all rebounders with 6. The Bradley girls play TONIGHT in the Sectional Final game vs Lancaster at 6:00pm at Olentangy Orange High School. Come out and support the girls basketball team tonight!! The girls want to thank the students that came out to the game last week. We hope to see you again tonight. GO JAGS!!
Hilliard Varsity on Way to Championship - The Varsity Hockey Squad spent this past weekend on the ice competing in the Columbus Blue Jacket Cup tournament. This six-team double elimination tourney was packed full of exciting goals and fierce competition. The Varsity Team took on the Northeast Storm Friday night, pulling a 2-1 win. Saturday, the team went to war with the Newark Generals. Aaron Applegarth scored the first goal of the game in the first period. As the score went back and forth, the game ended in a 4-4 tie, taking the game into sudden death overtime. The team lost 5-4 in OT, but the tourney isn't over yet (see below). Sunday, the Varsity squad came back with a vengeance in a 3-0 shut out over the Northeast Storm. The first period was tight, with neither team scoring. All goals for the game were scored in the second period and the third period ended in victory for Hilliard!
